Odd One Out **WEEKLY TOP TIP**

You will need:

  • A selection of key words/ quotes/ definitions from your topic area
  • Some sort of success criteria

How it works:

Using the template attached at the bottom, complete the table with a variety of words or definitions. They then need to find the odd one out in each row, column and diagonal. The success criteria posed by Rhys was:

BRONZE- superficial answer

SILVER- descriptive answer

GOLD- perceptive answer

This is a great way of differentiating questioning and getting the pupils to delve further into a topic and not just being simple. Get pupils to extend on their answers using verbal WWW and EBIs for stretch and challenge.

Variations:

Get the pupils to create their own and share with their peers!
