How It Works
The above coaster was designed by a member of staff at The Bulmershe School (R. Paginton) but can be easily redesigned.
Pupils will be issued ‘key word coasters’ for a lesson and these are resources containing key phrases that will be useful during a lesson. For example, within an English lesson key sentence starters and advanced vocabulary may be of use so would be included on a ‘key word coaster’.
When having a debate in a lesson, you could use ‘key word coasters’ with useful debate phrases on to help pupils structure their argument more coherently. The example above is from a languages lesson and this ‘key word coaster’ contains phrases that will help stretch vocabulary in their subject and help pupils be more independent in lessons.
– ‘Key word coasters’ could be differentiated based on ability
